Digital PDF Pattern

Instant download PDF of a 52-page German sewing pattern drafting book containing 60+ patterns for post war era fashions for women, men, and children. This is a great collection of designs including dresses for day and evening, sharp tailored pieces, and maternity wear for women. There are also several great outfits for children, as well as men’s and women’s sweaters. Dated November, 1955.

The book is in German, but instructions in English are included in their own PDF. The templates use the Lutterloh system, which is similar to The Golden Rule, or Der Golden Schnitt, and is very easy to work with. There are also plenty of instructional Youtube videos out there that are helpful for those unfamiliar with the process. We’ve included a bonus PDF entitled Working with Vintage Sewing Patterns: A Guide to Size Adjustments and Body Measurements.

A special ruler and curve (included) are used along with the miniature templates in the book to draft a broad range of sizes for each garment. The women's models, for example, can be drafted to fit a bust measurement from 80 - 120 cm (roughly 31.5" - 47.5"), with some models even a little larger.

*Please note: the pattern templates as well as the ruler and curve must all be printed at actual size for the drafting system to work properly.

We take great care creating our PDFs in order to provide you with a clear, high quality file. All of our patterns are painstakingly remastered from the vintage originals in our vast collection.
